About Michelle

Michelle Tripp

I’m a brand consultant and digital/social strategist based in New York. I have a lifelong passion for technology and innovation. I’m living my dream career as a creative technologist and marketing strategist — combining strategy, branding, creative, and new media.

My focus is on breakthrough ideas, growth opportunities for business, the future of communication technology, and structuring for the digital age. My work involves technology concepting, community architecture, writing and content development, UX design, and deep consumer curiosity. During my career, I’ve worked with Fortune 500 and publicly-traded companies, small and medium-sized businesses, agencies, and tech start-ups. My work includes social strategy and execution at the enterprise level.

My background includes an emphasis on core values brand positioning and strategic advertising. For 10 years I was a creative director and writer, winning 200+ creative and marketing awards, including 16 Tellys, an IECF Astrolabium (Japan), The Gold CASE Award, New York Globals, ADDYs, and others. During that time I was also the agency’s brand leader and developed a proprietary core value branding process, leading its execution in more than a dozen industries. I’ve won a few design, photography, and illustration awards, and occasionally still get to put those skills to good use.

I write about the intersection of social culture, emerging technologies, and the evolution of brand management on The BrandForward Blog. I travel across the U.S. helping agencies integrate social media into their service offerings, serving as social media lead in new business pitches, and helping B2B and B2C clients build their brands through social engagement and rich brand experiences.
